Overview
We are seeking enthusiastic and professional Event Staff to join our Coastal Crust team for various events and weddings throughout Charleston. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing exceptional guest services and ensuring the success of each event working with wood-fired pizza. Ideal candidates will have experience in the food industry, hospitality, or related fields, with a passion for delivering memorable guest experiences. The position involves assisting with food service, setup, and maintaining high standards of food safety and presentation. Our unique concept is well known throughout South Carolina through the restoration of antique trucks turned rolling pizza ovens.
Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and efficient manner, ensuring excellent guest relations
- Assist with event setup, including arranging tables and serving stations
- Bussing tables and clearing dishes promptly to maintain a clean atmospheric environment
- Replenish food and beverage stations as needed during events
- Work with made from scratch dough to curate memorable wood-fired pizzas
- Follow food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times
- Support catering operations by assisting with food preparation and presentation when required
- Engage with guests professionally, addressing any special requests or concerns
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Previous experience in the food industry, catering, or hospitality is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Experience in banquet service, serving, or restaurant environments is advantageous
- Being detail oriented and organized
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy events
- Excellent communication skills and teamwork orientation
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or variable hours based on event schedules
- Prior experience with wood-fired pizza is a plus but not required as you will be trained on the job
