Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) Applied Behavior Analysis Therapist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will work directly with children and individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, to implement individualized behavior intervention plans. Duties
- Implement behavior intervention plans based on principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA) under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses accurately and consistently to inform treatment adjustments
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including grooming, hygiene, feeding, and other self-care skills
- Support clients in developing social, communication, and functional skills through engaging teaching strategies
- Maintain detailed medical documentation, care plans, and behavioral health records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with team members to monitor client progress and adapt interventions as needed
- Foster a safe, supportive environment that promotes positive behavior management and client well-being
Experience
- Prior experience working with children or individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required; training provided for motivated candidates
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Familiarity with data collection methods and documentation standards in medical or behavioral health settings
- Experience assisting with ADLs or implementing behavior management strategies is a plus
- Understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and HIPAA compliance is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and patience to work effectively with diverse populations including those with autism or other developmental challenges
