Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Licensed Massage Therapist to join our dynamic wellness team. Duties
- Deliver a variety of massage techniques including Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and occupational health treatments to meet individual client needs
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to understand their health history, current concerns, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on the benefits of massage therapy and recommend appropriate treatment plans for pain management and relaxation
- Maintain detailed documentation of each session, including client progress notes and treatment details in compliance with licensing requirements
- Ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment by adhering to sanitation standards and safety protocols such as CPR certification
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their preferences and provide personalized care that enhances their overall experience
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy and physiology knowledge
Experience
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification in CPR
- Proven experience in providing various massage modalities such as Swedish, deep tissue, trigger point therapy, sports massage, prenatal massage, and medical or occupational health treatments
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to tailor treatments effectively
- Prior experience working in med spas or similar healthcare environments is preferred
- Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate clearly about treatment options
- Experience with pain management techniques and understanding of medical terminology related to musculoskeletal health is highly desirable
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on client communication and building lasting relationships
