Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Window Installer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation of various types of windows in residential and commercial properties. This role requires a strong understanding of construction practices, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Install windows according to manufacturer specifications and building codes.
- Measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during installations.
- Perform necessary repairs or adjustments to existing window frames.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople, including carpenters and drywall installers, to ensure seamless project completion.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand installation requirements.
- Hang doors as needed in conjunction with window installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment throughout the installation process.
Requirements
- Proven experience in glass installation or related construction fields.
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools relevant to window installation.
- Knowledge of drywall techniques and construction painting is beneficial.
- Experience with fixture installation is preferred.
- Strong understanding of carpentry principles and practices.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints or schematics accurately.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
