Model Drug is seeking a Full Time NIGHT SHIFT Data Entry Pharmacy Technician in Kingsburg. ONE week ON/ONE week OFF rotating schedule.

Position Summary
Model Drug is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our night shift data entry team in a fast-paced closed-door Long-Term Care (LTC) pharmacy. This position is responsible for accurately entering medication orders, processing refill requests, communicating with facilities and pharmacists, and ensuring orders are processed efficiently and accurately throughout the overnight shift.
The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, excellent computer and communication skills, works well independently, and understands the importance of accuracy and timeliness in LTC pharmacy operations. Prior LTC pharmacy or pharmacy data entry experience is preferred.
Position Requirements:
- California Pharmacy Technician License
- Prefer 6 months experience in retail, long term care or hospital pharmacy
- Excellent phone & computer skills
- Excellent typing skills & pharmacy knowledge
- Knowledge of HIPAA compliance
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
- Enter new and refill orders in a timely and accurate manner
- Answer incoming customer calls
- Prioritize and respond appropriately
- Direct to appropriate team member to ensure best service possible
- Calculate and/or verify the correct dosage based on the prescription
- Maintain required documentation for tracking and researching orders
- Understand Medicare Policy and Co-Pay requirements/guidelines
- Assist team members/department as needed in order to meet workflow deadlines and/or complete miscellaneous projects
Schedule:
- Overnight shift
- Rotating week on and week off schedule (7 days on/7 days off)
Physical Demands:
- You may sit, stand, bend and walk intermittently seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
- May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion
- Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
