American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position in Ohio, requiring a minimum of 3 years of RN experience and current ACLS and BLS certifications.

Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM

Active OH RN license or compact license currently in hand

Current BLS/BCLS and ACLS certifications required

Minimum 3 years of RN experience required

Completion of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN)

Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills
-
Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions

Physical capability to perform heavy work, including exerting 50–100 lbs of force occasionally and frequent patient handling

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care using the nursing process

Responsible for directing co-workers and delegating role-appropriate tasks to nursing assistants
-
Duties include medication administration, treatment performance, and physician order implementation

Provides patient and family education throughout the admission-to-discharge process

Documents nursing care thoroughly, concisely, and accurately

Position requires the ability to manage urgent situations calmly and communicate empathically with patients and families
