We are seeking compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide high-quality care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities. DSPs play a vital role in promoting independence, ensuring health and safety, and supporting individuals in achieving their personal goals in both home and community settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and supervision to individuals based on person-centered plans
- Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders and agency policy (if certified)
- Support individuals in community integration and participation in activities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided
- Implement behavior support plans and promote positive interactions
- Ensure a safe, clean, and supportive environment
- Communicate effectively with team members, families, and supervisors
- Report incidents, changes in condition, or concerns per agency policy
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass background checks and meet DODD requirements
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Medication Administration certification (or willingness to obtain)
