Job Overview: Lead the Material Conversion and Welding Robot production team. Ensures the production team is working in a safe manner, produces quality products, and has the tools needed for success. Coaches team members on opportunities to improve individual performance and prepares them for future opportunities. Communicates project status and actions required to meet customer expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Develops a production schedule/plan based on current projects issued to the shop floor
- Participates in developing production capacity needs to support the Long Term Strategic Plan
- Participates in interviewing, hiring and termination of team members
- Develops and cross trains team members to reach potential, including Annual Evaluations
- Programs equipment (laser, press brake, robot, cobots, saw etc..) as needed to produce quality parts
- Provides input on creating a better workforce and working environment, implements changes
- Communicates production issues and collaborates with other leadership on solutions.
- Successfully completes safety, equipment, administrative and personal development training
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Keeps a clean and organized work area following 5S Concepts
- Reviews and updates team member time cards with Production Manager
Qualifications
· Basic computer skills including emails and Microsoft programs.
- Effective communicator
- Previous automated equipment experience – Cobots, Robots, Laser - preferred
- Problem Solver and collaborator on project improvements.
- Mechatronics Certification preferred but multiple years of experience will be considered.
- Welding experience or exposure preferred
