Duties
- Greet guests warmly and take accurate orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to ensure smooth transactions
- Assist in food preparation and food handling to maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in accordance with food industry regulations
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring presentation meets quality standards while upselling menu items to enhance guest experience
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cashiering and processing payments efficiently
- Support restaurant operations by bussing tables, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring the dining area is inviting at all times
- Engage with customers to provide excellent service, address inquiries, and resolve issues promptly to foster loyalty and satisfaction
- Follow all food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and health regulations diligently to uphold a safe environment for guests and staff
Skills
- Proven experience in food service, quick service & fast food restaurants, or café environments with a strong understanding of the food industry
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order entry and payment processing
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and create positive guest interactions
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or orders efficiently during busy periods
- Ability to perform basic math for cash handling, retail math, and order calculations accurately
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience in upselling menu items to increase sales while maintaining guest satisfaction
