Heat Treat Trainee / Future Plant Manager
Starting Pay: $20–$25 per hour, based on experience, mechanical ability, dependability, and leadership potential
Location: Maple Heights, OH
Company: Non-Ferrous Heat Treat
About the Company
Non-Ferrous Heat Treat is a small aluminum heat treating facility located in Maple Heights, Ohio. We heat treat aluminum castings, forgings, extrusions, and stampings to meet customer specifications for strength, hardness, softness, and dimensional stability.
We are a small, hands-on company with 4 employees. In December 2018, Non-Ferrous Heat Treat was purchased by Buckeye Aluminum Foundry, a 3rd-generation, family-owned company that has been operating since 1973.
This is not a corporate management job. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who wants to learn the heat treating business from the ground up and grow into a leadership role.
Position Summary
We are looking for a dependable, mechanically inclined, hard-working individual to train in all aspects of our heat treating operation with the goal of eventually becoming a hands-on Plant Manager.
The right person will start by learning the shop floor, equipment, production process, customer requirements, scheduling, shipping/receiving, quality control, maintenance, and daily business operations. Over time, this person will be expected to take on more responsibility and help run the company day to day.
This position requires physical work, mechanical thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to lead by example. You must be willing to work in a hot, dirty, industrial environment and learn every part of the business.
Duties and Responsibilities
The person hired for this position will be trained to eventually handle and oversee:
