The Director of Philanthropy, Southwest drives major gift revenue and strengthens chapter-driven engagement across the region. Managing a portfolio of approximately 150 accounts, you will design and execute relationship strategies for donors giving $10,000+. This position blends front-line major gift fundraising, volunteer chapter collaboration, and meticulous data management into a high-performing, relationship-driven role.
Major Donor Management: Qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual and corporate donors ($10k+); implement moves management and facilitate face-to-face visits to hit acquisition and retention KPIs.
Prospecting & Events: Plan at least one annual referral-based event to acquire major donor prospects; create specialized briefing and stewardship materials.
Volunteer & Chapter Support: Partner with Arizona Chapter event committees on fundraising strategy; coordinate donor invitations with executive leadership; manage post-event stewardship and follow up on lapsed pledges.
Ambassador & Tour Guide: Lead tours of the Childhelp Children’s Center of Arizona for major donors, prospects, and volunteers; support regional national events.
Data Integrity: Meticulously track and record all donor activities and metrics within the CRM database.
Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent blended education and training.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of proven experience in Major Gifts, annual, or planned fundraising.
Organization Scale: Experience within a national organization with an annual budget of $5M+ is highly preferred.
Track Record: Proven success in retaining, lifting, and promoting Major Gift accounts.
