Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and reliable Class A Driver to join our transportation team! In this role, you will be the backbone of our logistics operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of freight across various routes. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, combined with your attention to safety and compliance with federal and state regulations, will drive our success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of specialized vehicles, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and more, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism and safety.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) routes, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate manual handling techniques or equipment such as forklifts when necessary.
- Transport a variety of cargo including freight, hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, refrigerated items, or specialized equipment like tanker or flatbed trailers.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing routes for fuel efficiency and safety.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues, proper load securement, and compliance with safety standards.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving with a valid Class A CDL license.
- Demonstrated expertise in driving tractor-trailers across long distances on OTR routes.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, or other specialized vehicles is preferred.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations regarding hours of service, load securement, hazardous materials handling, and safety protocols.
- Experience with GPS navigation systems and route planning for efficient deliveries.
- Ability to manually handle cargo safely and operate equipment such as forklifts when needed.
- Prior delivery driver experience involving freight handling and route driving is highly desirable.

Pay: $800.00 - $2,665.72 per week
