Job Description:
The Host/Hostess is responsible for managing reservations, greeting and seating guests, and ensuring a welcoming and organized front-of-house experience. This role supports daily restaurant operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with table turnover, and providing excellent customer service in line with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage reservations and waitlists using the restaurant’s hosting system
- Greet guests promptly and seat them in a warm, friendly, and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and assist with guest inquiries
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining areas
- Assist with bussing and resetting tables as needed
- Support takeout order preparation and other side work duties
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth service flow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least 1 year of restaurant or customer service experience preferred
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor and appearance
- Ability to work flexible schedules, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
