Job Description:
We are looking for an energetic, dependable, and caring Summer Lead Teacher to join our team for an exciting summer program! The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading daily classroom activities, maintaining a safe and positive environment, and creating a fun summer experience for children of all ages.
Our summer program includes themed activities, outdoor play, crafts, special events, and hands-on learning opportunities. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with children, can lead a classroom confidently, and works well with a team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise daily classroom activities
- Create a safe, engaging, and positive environment
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and crafts
- Maintain classroom cleanliness and organization
- Communicate professionally with parents and staff
- Ensure children are supervised at all times
- Follow all childcare licensing and safety regulations
- Assist with summer field trips, water days, and special events
- Work collaboratively with assistant teachers and management
Qualifications
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Previous childcare or teaching experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask and stay organized
- Positive attitude and dependable attendance
- CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willing to obtain)
- Must pass required background checks
