Property Manager/AffordableHousing
We are looking for an experienced Property Manager for a Senior 100+ apartment community Paterson. Previous experience as a Property Manager of an affordable housing community is recommended for consideration. Section 8 experience preferred not required. This building is subsidized through the housing authority.
This is a full-time, benefits eligible, position with an attractive starting salary commensurate with experience. There is an additional building that we would also like to include to responsibilities which is approximately 30 units with a mix of market and units subsidized through NYCHA. Experience with NYCHA and DOB is preferred for this building.
Job Responsibilities:
● Conduct initial interviews and screenings of all applicants or additions to households according to Fair Housing Laws.
● Conduct regular inspections of common areas and tenants’ units.
● Collect rental payments from tenants; ensure prompt follow up with delinquent payments.
● Ensuring that the property’s curb appeal is impeccable
Assist tenants with additional paperwork including medicare/food stamps
Maintain a calendar of resident events/community group involvement
● Providing excellent customer service
● Process Move In/Out
Experience with Onesite Real Page
Manage timely renewal paperwork including rental increases
Job Requirements:
Qualifications and experience necessary are as follows:
● A minimum of three years of experience working in property management.
● Candidates should also have experience with working with seniors.
● Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office; familiar with affordable management software like RealPage.
