Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Mixer Driver to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will operate and maintain concrete mixing trucks, ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality concrete to various construction sites. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, heavy equipment operation, and construction site safety will contribute to the successful execution of civil infrastructure projects. Duties
- Safely operate concrete mixer trucks and other related commercial vehicles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols
- Deliver concrete, asphalt, and other bituminous materials to construction sites efficiently and on schedule
- Perform routine maintenance checks on trucks and paving equipment, including screeds, loaders, excavators, dump trucks, and rebar installation tools
- Assist with the operation of paving equipment such as screeds and concrete pumping systems to ensure smooth application of materials
- Support construction activities by operating heavy machinery like excavators, loaders, and paving equipment while following safety regulations
- Conduct basic math calculations for measurements, quantities, and mix ratios needed for various projects
- Follow all safety procedures on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE), adherence to safety regulations, and reporting hazards or incidents promptly
Experience
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks, specifically concrete mixers or dump trucks in a construction environment
- Strong knowledge of construction machinery maintenance and basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
- Hands-on experience working on civil infrastructure projects involving concrete forming, rebar installation, asphalt paving, and concrete finishing
- Familiarity with construction site safety standards and OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) regulations
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders, screeds, and paving machines confidently and safely
- Knowledge of DOT regulations related to commercial vehicle operation and transportation safety protocols
- Prior experience working with concrete materials—including batching, pumping, pouring, and finishing—is highly desirable
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on busy construction sites
