Job Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret shop drawings to ensure accurate layout and fabrication of different storefront and curtain wall systems.
- Oversee the receiving of glass and aluminum shipments, ensuring all materials are accounted for and in good condition.
- Provide leadership and guidance to a small shop crew, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Maintain a hands-on approach to daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.
- Keep accurate inventory tracking of both raw materials and finished goods to ensure smooth warehouse operations.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate completion of orders.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a warehouse environment, preferably in the glass and aluminum industry.
- Proven ability to read and understand shop drawings.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a small team.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficient in inventory management techniques and practices.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, safely.
- Must be able to pass a drug test.
- Reliable transportation is required.
