RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interacts with crew members and customers using ‘Tropitude’ (Tropitude is our “mojo” and what makes Tropical Smoothie Café fun and different. It means having energy and creating a positive atmosphere.)
- Delivers ‘Unparalleled Hospitality’ to each customer that visits our café.
- Prepares ingredients for our food and smoothies.
- Assembles and serves fresh food and smoothies prepared to Tropical Smoothie Cafes’ standards.
- Uses our sanitation practices to handle and prepare food.
- Sets up and monitors food and smoothie work stations.
- Cleans and organizes kitchen, workstations, dining room, restrooms, and any other areas in the cafe.
- Follows the steps to operate the register including taking customer orders, accurately handling cash, and being responsible for the drawer.
- Follows all safety and security policies set by the brand.
- Performs any additional tasks necessary to run the cafe.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in food service or a quick service & fast food restaurant is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with a POS system is a plus.
- Strong skills in food preparation, food handling, sanitation, and safety regulations.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math for sales transactions, retail math calculations, and inventory management.
- Demonstrated customer service skills with a positive attitude and effective communication abilities.
- Experience working in a café or retail grocery store is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential. Embark on a rewarding journey where your energy fuels our success! REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
- Legally able to work within the State and Federal guidelines.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Continuous standing and walking throughout the duration of each shift.
- Bending, lifting and carrying up to 25 pounds to perform duties like stocking, refilling ice, or taking out trash.
- Constant face-to-face interactions with crew members and customers.
- Safely navigate in a fast-paced cafe environment.
- Ability to multi-task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- Most shifts are between four and eight hours, but this may vary.
- Crew Members can expect to have some early mornings, late evenings, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
- Comply with the Tropical Smoothie Cafe uniform and personal hygiene polices for each shift.
- Fun, fast paced, upbeat environment with no fryers!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
