Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and fully qualified teacher to join our 2-3-year-old classroom and 3-5 ys old classroom, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes early childhood development. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing engaging curricula, fostering social-emotional growth, and supporting each child's individual needs. Duties
- Develop and implement age-appropriate curricula that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods to support holistic development.
- Create a safe, welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration, creativity, and social interaction among children.
- Plan and execute daily lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and developmental milestones.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive behavior management techniques to foster respect, cooperation, and independence.
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents or guardians regarding each child's progress, needs, and achievements.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and child welfare regulations to maintain a safe learning environment.
- Support children with special education needs or early intervention requirements through tailored activities and accommodations.
Experience
- Proven classroom experience working with children aged 2 to 3 years old in preschool or daycare settings.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management tailored for toddlers.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Experience working with children with special needs or in inclusive education environments is preferred.
- Familiarity with early childhood education standards, standardized testing procedures for young learners, and preschool teaching methodologies such as Montessori is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and engage families in their child's educational journey.
- Prior experience in private schools or daycare centers will be considered an asset; certification in early childhood education is required.
