Job Summary
The Wellness Pharmacy is an independently owned compounding pharmacy dedicated to providing personalized medications and exceptional customer service. We specialize in customized prescription compounding for both human and veterinary patients and pride ourselves on creating a welcoming, patient-focused environment.
We are seeking a friendly, professional, and detail-oriented team member to join our front desk staff. Preference will be given to candidates who are currently licensed pharmacy technicians or interested in becoming cross-trained to assist with pharmacy compounding operations in the future.
This is a primarily seated position, with approximately 99% of duties performed while seated.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer incoming phone calls and direct inquiries appropriately
- Assist patients with prescription pick-up and checkout
- Contact patients when prescriptions are ready for pickup
- Process payments and maintain accurate records
- Assist customers with over-the-counter product selection
- Maintain and organize over-the-counter inventory
- Monitor inventory levels and notify management of products needing replenishment
- Enter and update patient information in pharmacy software systems
- Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance at all times
- Assist with general administrative and clerical duties
- Support pharmacy staff as needed

Experience
Preferred
- Current Virginia Pharmacy Technician Registration/License
- Previous pharmacy, medical office, retail, or customer service experience
