Responsibilities
- Manage daily bookkeeping activities including journal entries, account analysis, and ledger maintenance using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and promptly
- Handle payroll processing, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and proper deductions using payroll systems
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to support financial reporting
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including statements related to governmental accounting standards when applicable
- Assist with budgeting processes and provide support for technical accounting tasks such as GAAP compliance and double-entry bookkeeping
Qualifications
- Proven experience with accounting software including QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar tools
- Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and non-profit accounting practices
- Familiarity with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), tax regulations, and payroll procedures
- Ability to perform account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately
- Skilled in journal entries, account analysis, financial report writing, and general ledger management
- Excellent understanding of debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial concepts
- Proficiency in 10-key typing for efficient data entry and account processing
- Prior experience in public accounting or technical accounting roles is preferred

Pay: $30.53 - $49.00 per hour
