Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them through the seating process
- Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Maintain an organized waiting list and coordinate seating to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer incoming phone calls with professional phone etiquette, assisting with reservations and general inquiries
- Communicate clearly with team members to ensure timely seating and guest service delivery
- Support food safety and cleanliness standards by maintaining a tidy host station and adhering to hygiene protocols
- Provide excellent guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
Experience
- Previous host/hostess experience or food service background preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a customer-focused attitude
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong communication skills, including phone communication and interpersonal interactions, are essential
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, wait times, and table counts accurately
- Experience in hospitality or guest services roles that demonstrate organizational skills and professionalism
- Knowledge of food safety standards and restaurant operations enhances your ability to excel in this role
