Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Full-Time and Part-Time Childcare Teacher to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for young children, fostering their development across cognitive, social, emotional, and physical domains. Responsibilities
- Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education, math skills, physical activity, and social-emotional growth.
- Create a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies.
- Support children’s early intervention needs by adapting activities for children with special education requirements or developmental delays.
- Communicate regularly with parents to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and collaborate on supporting each child's growth.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws by accurately documenting any concerns related to child welfare or safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning while adhering to health and safety standards such as first aid and CPR certification.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives and participate in ongoing professional development related to childhood development instruction and preschool teaching best practices.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with young children in daycare or preschool settings is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles, including child development instruction and classroom management techniques.
- Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children using excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws, childhood welfare policies, and health & safety procedures such as first aid and CPR certification.
- Background in teaching physical education or tutoring young learners in core subjects like math is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with curriculum development tailored to preschool-aged children enhances your ability to foster engaging learning experiences.
