Better Trucks is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dispatch Coordinator for our warehouse operations in the Newark metropolitan area. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for scheduling drivers, dispatching shipments, and ensuring efficient last-mile operations in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Morning load out.
- Scanning, labeling, and sorting packages.
- Monitoring and optimizing delivery routes.
- Ensuring Geofence accuracy
- Promptly resolving package issues.
- Tracking packages and their statuses (e.g., failed deliveries, age verification, missing packages).
- Ensuring proper driver coverage.
- Monitor live chat software and audit Proof of Delivery (POD) photos.
- Fulfilling daily pickups using a company vehicle.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 21.
- Valid Driver's License.
- Ability to multitask and thrive in a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with technology for tracking drivers and package status, including GPS and camera capturing software.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Sheets, and mass texting platforms.
- Self-starting, proactive, and initiative-taking.
- Strong critical thinking and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent memorization skills.
- Adaptability to change and flexibility to work varied shifts.
- Strong accountability and empathy skills.
- Commitment to treating all co-workers, delivery partners, and customers with respect.
- Ability to lift 50-70 lbs.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Preferred Qualifications: (Bilingual in English and/or Spanish).
Shift & Compensation:
- Pay: $25.00 per hour.
- Shifts: Shift hours may vary between 6:00am - 6:30pm, depending on staffing needs or whenever daily workload is complete.
- It is possible that you may have to work longer shifts during peak season.
- Candidates must be adaptable and flexible to work any 7 days out of a week.
