Michigan Afterschool Expanded Learning Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Preschool Teacher or GSRP teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of Creative Curriculum, a commitment to high-quality instruction, and the ability to support children’s developmental growth in a safe, nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons and activities aligned with Creative Curriculum
- Maintain a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom environment
- Observe, assess, and document children’s developmental progress
- Complete required data entry and participate in all necessary training related to assessment systems and program compliance
- Communicate effectively with families, colleagues, and supervisors
- Ensure adherence to licensing regulations, safety standards, and organizational policies
Qualifications
- Education:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education
OR
- Current CDA plus a minimum of 25 credit hours in Early Childhood Education, and actively working toward an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree
- Demonstrated knowledge of Creative Curriculum
- Willingness and ability to attend required trainings
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Successful completion of a comprehensive background check
