Mechanical Machine Operator Apprentice (Local Candidates Required)
Location: Alpharetta, GA
Schedule:
- Training Period (Required): 1st Shift — Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- Post‑Training Assignment: Must be available for a 1st Shift or 2nd Shift based on company needs.
- 1st Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- 2nd Shift: Monday–Thursday, 4:00 PM–2:00 AM; Friday, 2:00 PM–Midnight
Requirement: Must be open to working either shift after training is completed.
Pay: $16–$18/hour

Engineered Parts Sourcing (EPS) is Georgia’s only fastener supplier, manufacturing specialty fasteners and cold‑headed components for nearly 40 years. We’re expanding and looking for a Mechanical Machine Operator Apprentice who is eager to learn the machining trade from the ground up.
If you’re mechanically inclined, comfortable with basic hand tools, and excited to learn how to work on and around heavy machinery, this role gives you a direct path into a long‑term manufacturing career.
What You’ll Do
- Assist machine operators with daily setup, adjustments, and production support
- Perform basic mechanical tasks using hand tools (wrenches, sockets, screwdrivers, etc.)
- Operate equipment safely under supervision, including loading material, emptying pans, and monitoring machine flow
- Inspect and gauge parts using simple measurement tools (guages, micrometers)
- Clean and maintain machines to support smooth production
- Document production data and communicate issues clearly
- Learn the machining trade through hands‑on training with experienced operators and setup technicians
Preferred Skills & Abilities
- Mechanical aptitude — experience with cars, tools, small engines, or hands‑on projects
- Basic hand‑tool knowledge and eagerness to learn more
- Interest in heavy machinery and how production equipment works
- Attention to detail when inspecting parts or following instructions
- Physical stamina — ability to stand, lift, and move throughout the shift
- Teamwork and communication with a reliable, positive attitude
- Basic computer use for simple data entry
