Responsibilities
- Utilize our research based curriculum and implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development for children across different age groups.
- Foster a nurturing environment that encourages curiosity, independence, and positive behavior through effective behavior management techniques.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment by adhering to health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and first aid procedures.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about children's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to childhood development or behavior.
- Document daily observations of children’s growth and development to inform future planning and assessments.
- Collaborate with fellow educators to ensure classroom management is effective and all children’s needs are met with compassion and professionalism.
Skills
- Proven experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or classroom settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR (First aid) is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly valued.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with the ability to nurture positive behavior through behavior management strategies.
- Ability to adapt activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers while maintaining safety standards.
- Familiarity with mandated reporting laws ensures compliance with legal requirements related to child safety.
- Effective communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and caregivers.
