Our bartender(s) are dedicated to creating the ultimate satisfaction for restaurant guests by preparing and serving a variety of alcoholic beverages according to established specifications. Bartenders are highly knowledgeable of all Company drink recipe specifications, measuring and serving standards, skilled at using Micros and other restaurant systems, and flexible in responding to operational needs with a “can-do” approach.
Bartenders are responsible for attending to all bar related service and duties.
Duties include, but are not limited to restocking bar, completing daily inventory, greeting clients, and preparing drinks.
Requirements, Responsibilities, and Duties:
· Set up/close bar to restaurant specifications
· Present drink menus, make recommendations and answer questions regarding food and beverages.
· Prepare spirits, wine, and beer to serve to guests
· Maintain cleanliness in all areas of the bar including counters, sinks, utensils, shelves and storage areas.
· Receive and serve food orders to guests seated at the bar.
· Process cash and credit card payments
· Ensure guest are of legal drinking age
- Maintains adequate supply of ice, glasses, and other bar supplies according to established requirements.
· It is a requirement to be proactive, and driven to enable the bar to run smoothly and efficiently.
Skills Required
· MINIMUM 3+ years experience in a direct titled Bartender role
· Extensive knowledge of spirits, wine, and traditional cocktails.
(Wine knowledge REQUIRED)
· Ability to learn and efficiently produce restaurant specialty cocktails
· Ability to read, speak and interpret documents in English.
· Excellent time management
· A proactive attitude
· Highly organized
· Previous restaurant or hotel inventory experience
· References Required
· High school diploma or equivalent is required; College Degree Preferred
Preferred:
- Current alcohol awareness certification, such as TIPS or LEADS
- TOAST, Open Table and Extra Chef
- Wine knowledge and/or certifications
- Spanish speaking a plus
- Due to our longevity in SoBe, firsthand knowledge of local South Beach hospitality and clientele. Familiarity with location and local attractions, businesses, etc.
