Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, interactive lessons in high school mathematics, including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and AP pre calculus
- Develop and implement comprehensive curricula aligned with state standards and AP requirements, incorporating modern learning technology tools.
- Prepare students for AP exams and standardized assessments through targeted test preparation tutoring strategies.
- Utilize online instruction platforms effectively to create an accessible and inclusive classroom experience for remote or hybrid learners.
- Incorporate real-world applications such as data structures, machine learning concepts, and scientific topics like biology or chemistry to enhance understanding.
- Manage classroom activities efficiently while maintaining a positive environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Assess student progress regularly through assignments, quizzes, projects, and exams; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
Qualifications
- Proven teaching experience with teenagers in a high school setting, ideally with AP coursework expertise.
- Strong knowledge of core math subjects including Algebra, Geometry, Calculus,
- Experience developing curriculum content that integrates learning technology tools effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse student populations and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Excellent classroom management skills combined with patience and enthusiasm for student success.
- Proficiency in computer skills necessary for online instruction and digital lesson planning.
- Background knowledge in science topics such as Physiology or Anatomy is a plus for interdisciplinary approaches.
