We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounting Specialist to join our accounting team. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in business accounting, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance, with the ability to manage complex financial data accurately. This role offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment, supporting various financial functions including compliance, audit preparation, and financial analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate proficiency in multiple accounting software platforms and possess excellent analytical skills to interpret financial statements and ensure precise record-keeping.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.
- Conduct bank reconciliations and understand accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis to support strategic financial planning.
- Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliation to all financial data aligns and balances.
- Utilize various accounting software such as QuickBooks and other financial tools for data entry, report generation, and analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws including U.S. tax law to stay informed about changes in regulations.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, cash and accrual accounting, and journal entries.
- Proven experience with various accounting software platforms including QuickBooks, and other industry-standard tools.
- Strong expertise in managing complex financial data through skills in financial statement preparation, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Familiarity with public accounting is preferred.
- Ability to interpret financial reports accurately, perform financial analysis, and communicate findings clearly.
- Knowledge of Tax law and estate planning (Wills, trusts & estate law) is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently while maintaining high accuracy levels.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
