Duties
- Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary
- Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing for changes in condition, and reporting findings accurately in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when required, ensuring safety during meal times
- Administer medications following care plans and document all medication activities precisely to ensure compliance with healthcare standards
- Support residents with memory care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's care, by implementing specialized techniques to promote comfort and safety
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and update personalized care plans that reflect each resident’s unique needs
Experience
- Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes is highly preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration
- Hands-on experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia is advantageous
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are a plus
- Familiarity with patient monitoring tools like Hoyer lifts or resident's <PERSON> equipment enhances your ability to provide safe support
- Experience in working within long-term care environments or social work settings is beneficial for understanding comprehensive resident needs
- Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting safely while maintaining a compassionate approach toward residents
