To perform the job of Hvac Installer, a thorough knowledge of hvac systems is needed. You will be responsible for installing, repairing or replacing heating and cooling equipment and ensuring the comfort of our building's occupants. As a Hvac Installer, you will focus on design, installation and repair of heating and cooling systems. You should be a creative problem-solver who can work with minimal supervision, always looking for new ways to improve our facilities. Your goal will be to keep the customer comfortable by ensuring heating and cooling systems operate efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- Use a variety of tools (e.g. power and manual, hand) and computer or mechanical systems.
- Estimate the cost of repairs, installations or equipment, based on knowledge of construction or unit costs.
- Communicate and coordinate with contractors and other trades when necessary.
- Operate vehicles or machinery to transport materials to job sites.
- Read and understand blueprints, schematics and technical drawings to perform installation or repair.
- Make minor modifications to equipment or systems as directed by supervisor.
- Maintain a clean work site (e.g. sweep and mop floors, empty trash).
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
