Overview:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated FEMALE MUST HAVE A DRIVERS LICENSE AND DRIVE Nursing Assistant/ HHA/Companion to join our team. As a Nursing Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing direct patient care and support to individuals with various healthcare needs. Duties:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
- Administer medications under the supervision of a registered nurse
- Perform basic medical procedures, such as catheter care and wound dressing changes
- Assist in the implementation of care plans developed by healthcare professionals
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient interactions
Skills:
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of hospice care principles and practices
- Ability to provide care for pediatric patients
- Familiarity with assisted living settings and protocols
- Proficiency in critical care procedures and protocols
- Understanding of aseptic technique for infection control
- Knowledge of geriatric care best practices
- Experience using Cerner or similar electronic health record systems
Requirements:
- Valid certification as a Nursing Assistant or completion of an accredited nursing assistant program
- Current CPR certification
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
