Position Overview
Fastemps is hiring Manufacturing Associates for a leading metal stamping company in Chelsea, MI. This is a great temp-to-hire opportunity with long-term growth potential, excellent training, and a supportive team environment.
As a Manufacturing Associate, you will help operate production equipment, inspect parts for quality, and support daily manufacturing operations in a clean and organized facility.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate machines according to the production schedule.
- Perform visual inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Apply basic troubleshooting techniques to keep equipment running efficiently.
- Use hand tools to make authorized adjustments and minor repairs.
- Assist with machine changeovers as needed.
- Complete production paperwork, downtime logs, and production counts accurately.
- Properly label and tag components and finished products.
- Monitor and dispose of production scrap while reporting any discrepancies to supervisors.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to stand, bend, twist, and lift throughout an 8–10 hour shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.
- Must have sufficient reach and arm span to safely handle materials and parts.
- Manufacturing experience is helpful but not required.
