The Opportunity
As our Physical Education & Health Teacher, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that promote physical fitness, healthy lifestyles, teamwork, and personal growth. You'll help students develop fundamental movement skills, confidence, sportsmanship, and an appreciation for lifelong wellness while creating an inclusive environment where every learner feels encouraged to participate.
Working collaboratively with fellow educators and families, you'll play an important role in supporting each student's physical, social, and emotional development.
What You'll Do
- Plan and deliver engaging physical education and health instruction aligned with grade-level expectations.
- Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment where all students can succeed.
- Teach movement skills, fitness concepts, sportsmanship, teamwork, and healthy lifestyle habits.
- Differentiate instruction to support students with a variety of abilities and learning needs.
- Assess student growth and provide meaningful feedback.
- Promote student safety while supervising physical activities both indoors and outdoors.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support student success and school-wide initiatives.
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress.
- Assist with school events, field days, and other student activities.
- Incorporate creative instructional strategies, technology, music, and innovative teaching practices to enhance student engagement.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Physical Education or a related field.
- Washington State teaching certification.
- Experience teaching physical education or working with school-aged children preferred.
- Knowledge of child development and effective instructional practices.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused school environment.

Pay: $52,022.00 - $83,901.00 per year
