Duties
- Design and assemble fresh floral arrangements, bouquets, and decorative displays tailored to customer preferences and seasonal themes
- Assist customers in selecting flowers and plants, providing expert advice on floral care, plant identification, and gardening tips
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the floral department, including stocking shelves and merchandising products attractively
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems for sales transactions, handle cash and card payments accurately, and manage retail math efficiently
- Manage inventory levels by monitoring stock, placing orders for fresh flowers and supplies, and ensuring timely replenishment
- Provide exceptional customer service through friendly communication via phone or in person, addressing inquiries about floral options or garden products
- Support outdoor work activities such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, and general gardening tasks to enhance the overall store environment
Experience
- Prior experience in floral design or related horticulture fields is highly preferred; familiarity with floral arrangement techniques is a plus
- Knowledge of plant identification, gardening practices, lawn care, landscape maintenance, and outdoor work experience enhances your effectiveness in this role
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a valuable asset for serving diverse customers
- Experience with retail sales environments including cashiering, merchandising, stocking, and POS systems is advantageous
- Ability to handle cash responsibly and perform retail math accurately in a fast-paced setting
