One of our clients in the Government domain is seeking a Spanish Teacher to provide standards-based instruction to K-12 students who are legally blind, with or without additional disabilities. The selected candidate will deliver instruction aligned with Tennessee State Standards while adapting lessons to meet Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals. Candidates with appropriate teaching certification in other content areas will also be considered and will have the opportunity to obtain the Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement within five years.

Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST (7.5 hours/day)
Responsibilities
- Provide standards-based Spanish instruction to students with visual impairments and additional disabilities.
- Prepare lesson plans aligned with Tennessee State Standards and student IEP goals.
- Adapt instructional materials and classroom activities to meet individual learning needs.
- Maintain a positive and structured classroom environment using effective classroom management techniques.
- Monitor student progress through assessments, data collection, and progress reporting.
- Participate in multidisciplinary educational teams to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate student objectives.
- Coordinate with instructional and support staff to provide comprehensive educational services.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to student performance and instructional activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and participate in parent consultations and school meetings.
- Participate in professional development, training programs, and workshops.
- Plan and supervise on-campus and off-campus educational activities, field trips, and school events.
- Utilize instructional technology and assistive technology to support student learning.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Principal.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor//'s Degree in Education from an accredited college or university.
- Must hold or be eligible for a valid Tennessee Educator License.
- Subject area endorsement in Spanish.
- Certified as, or willing to obtain, a Teacher of the Visually Impaired (TVI) endorsement within five years.
- Ability to pass Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) and FBI background checks, fingerprinting, child abuse registry checks, employment verification, and professional reference checks.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
Required Skills
