Job Summary
Join Chef Dane's team as a Restaurant Shift Leader, where you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth daily operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences. As a key leader of Nood Bar, you'll oversee food preparation, manage staff, and uphold high standards of food safety and customer service. Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations during your shift, ensuring efficiency and quality standards are met.
- Lead staff training and development, including training new team members and providing ongoing coaching.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to maintain consistency, quality, and safety compliance according to our standard operating procedures.
- Manage inventory control, including stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste and communicate this with fellow leadership.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using our Toast POS system.
- Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures across all areas of the restaurant.
- Monitor customer service standards to guarantee guest satisfaction and address any issues promptly.
- Collaborate with management on shift planning, budgeting, and operational improvements to optimize performance.
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or kitchen management within quick service or fast paced restaurants.
- Demonstrated supervising experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment with leadership responsibilities.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally.
- Familiarity with inventory control practices and food safety regulations essential for maintaining high standards.
- Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, food production, and service procedures.
- Leadership qualities that motivate teams, support training & development initiatives, and foster a positive work environment even in a busy kitchen environment.
- Experience managing restaurant operations including shift management, budgeting, and food industry best practices.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques gained through casual dining or fine dining experience is highly desirable.
