*This position is for experienced heavy-duty diesel truck technicians only. Automotive mechanics or entry-level applicants will not be considered.
Current opening is for either a full-time medium/heavy-duty Diesel Truck Mechanic to service customers at our shop or A full-time roadside/on-site Mechanic operating out of a company service truck. Hybrid positions combining shop and field service are also available. Applicants must be B-Tech level Diesel Truck Mechanic with a minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in Diesel Truck repair & maintenance. Automotive mechanics or entry-level applicants will NOT be considered.
Complete and maintain clear, accurate work orders for every job, including labor time, diagnostics, parts used, and job notes. Technicians are responsible for documenting their own work-THIS IS A REQUIRED PART OF THE POSITION.
Candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently with minimal supervision and committed to high-qualtiy workmanship. A valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and basic personal mechanic hand tools are required.
Proficiency in the use of shop tools, heavy-duty diagnostic equipment, and manufacturer diagnostic laptops is required.
Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. is required.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrate proficiency in the repair & diagnosis of-Engines (gas & diesel), Power train to include differentials, transmissions, clutches, driveshafts, PTO's & wheel ends, electrical systems including starters & alternators, HVAC systems, steering systems, electronics to include ECM's, ECU's, sensors, etc., engine bolt on items such as turbos, fan clutches, injectors, cooling system etc., brake systems including ABS, & suspension systems (spring & air).
Identify & determine parts required for repair of disassembled units.
Perform all levels of preventative maintenance services on truck & trailer equipment.
Maintain work area appearance & safety.
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but NOT required.
Vocational training or technical or certifications are NOT required.
Current CDL license with air brake certification is preferred but NOT required.
**Truck refrigeration experience with Carrier or Thermoking is not required but is a plus**

Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
