About Our Family
We're a family of four (kids ages 7 and 8) looking for someone special to join our household long-term — not just a job, but a genuine role within our family for years to come. Our last house manager/nanny was with us for five and a half years, starting while she was still a college student, and we're hoping to find that same kind of long-term fit again.
We live on a 17-acre property with wooded hiking trails, gardens, and space to enjoy the outdoors year-round. We cook fresh meals together most nights and would love for you to join us at the table. We travel five-star internationally several times a year and cover all expenses when you travel with us. We hold family memberships to aquariums, gardens, and other local attractions that you're welcome to use.
Beyond the day-to-day, we bring real value to this role: my wife is a C-suite finance executive who enjoys mentoring the people around her on building wealth and smart investing, and I run a global professional network and enjoy helping the people I work closely with make career connections and open new doors. This is a role where you'll be invested in — not just employed.
What You'll Be Doing
- Childcare: Help with school work, activities, projects, and general day-to-day care for our 7- and 8-year-olds
- Household support: Housekeeping, laundry, organizing, and general home upkeep
- Meals: Assisting with meal prep and cooking alongside us
- Property projects: Helping with outdoor/garden projects and general property upkeep
- Travel companion: Joining us on international trips (5-star accommodations, all expenses covered) to help with the kids
- Family support: Occasionally assisting with errands, scheduling, and coordinating with extended family, including our senior family members
What We're Looking For
- Dependable, honest, and trustworthy above all else
- Genuinely great with kids — patient, warm, engaged
- Comfortable and kind around older adults/seniors (we have close family who are seniors)
- Loves animals — we have dogs who are part of the family
- Enjoys the outdoors and an active, nature-filled lifestyle
- Looking for something long-term, not a short-term or summer-only role
- Flexible, low-drama, easygoing personality that fits well into a close-knit household
- College students or recent graduates from Millersville are a great fit — our last long-term hire started with us during her freshman year
Compensation & Schedule
- Salaried position, part time 25-30 hours/week full time generally 40–50 hours/week
- Flexible schedule — we're not clock-watchers. If you want to stay for dinner, need to leave for a class or appointment, or want to head out early some days, that flexibility goes both ways
- All meals when working provided
- 100% of travel costs covered when you join us
- Family memberships (aquarium, gardens, etc.) included
- Mentorship access: guidance on personal finance/investing and career/professional networking as part of being part of our extended circle
