You didn't spend 10+ years mastering CNC machining and your people skills just to manage chaos. You're here to run a tight, precise operation.
If you can see yourself being passionate about aluminum, machining, tight tolerances, and exacting details, we want to learn more about you!
At Fabbrica LLC, we're looking for a CNC Machining Supervisor who's ready to own a department, not just manage tasks. Your output ends up on building façades across NYC, Boston, and the rest of the Northeast Corridor. Your team's parts and pieces will be seen by millions of people all over the Northeast.
Salary starting from $78,000 based on experience and skills.
What the role looks like:
- 1st shift only. Every day. (7:00 AM – 3:45 PM)
- EMMEGI CNC equipment, the kind of shop you can take pride in
- You're the technical authority: programming, first-article runs, training, tooling
- The pieces your team creates in our Machining Dept. go directly to our manufacturing lines.
- Complimentary lunch served daily
What your responsibilities include:
- Plan and prioritize CNC machining work with production planning to meet project schedules, labor targets, and budget expectations.
- Lead shift startup by confirming that machines, approved programs, setup sheets, tooling, trays, materials, and operator assignments are ready.
- Coordinate with CNC programming; run and verify first articles, identify programming or process issues, and resolve or escalate problems promptly.
- Manage tooling condition and setup, including tool dimensions, runout, balance, replacement, and adherence to bar-cutting optimization requirements.
- Monitor production output and quality metrics, adjust resources as needed, and complete accurate daily machining and SAP confirmation records.
- Maintain material availability and inventory accuracy by reconciling physical bar stock with SAP and coordinating shortages or replacement needs.
- Oversee preventive maintenance and calibration requirements, document inspections and repairs, address routine issues, and coordinate outside service to minimize downtime.
- Enforce safety, housekeeping, equipment-use, and PPE standards; conduct inspections, correct unsafe conditions, and report incidents or near misses.
- Partner with Quality and Assembly to investigate, document, and close nonconformances and implement corrective actions.
- Train, coach, and supervise CNC operators and new hires, including machine operation, tool inspection, first-article inspection, and standard work practices.
Minimum requirements:
10 years CNC machining
3 years of supervisory experience
Programming background, trade school / CNC curriculum graduate.
