Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Excel Supported Living is seeking compassionate, reliable, and motivated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support adults with developmental disabilities in living more independent, meaningful lives.
As a DSP, you'll provide hands-on support, encouragement, and skill-building assistance to help individuals achieve their personal goals, participate in their communities, and maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
What You'll Do:
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Support individuals in developing and maintaining independent living skills
- Encourage participation in community and recreational activities
- Provide companionship, emotional support, and positive reinforcement
- Monitor and report changes in health, behavior, or support needs
- Follow individualized support plans and document services provided
- Promote dignity, choice, respect, and self-advocacy

- Reliable attendance and professionalism
- Experience in caregiving, healthcare, human services, or developmental disabilities is preferred but not required

Must Have:
- 1* year of experience in direct support*
- 75 Hour Certificate Required
- CPR/First Aid Certified
- De-escalation skills
- Behavioral Support Experience
- Reliable transportation to and from client locations
Minimum Qualifications
- Must pass WA State/Federal Background Check
- High school diploma or GED
- At least 18 years of age
