Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and a passion for maintaining and repairing heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely.
Duties
- Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines and related systems to identify issues.
- Perform diesel engine repair, including disassembly, diagnosis, and reassembly.
- Utilize automotive diagnostics tools to troubleshoot mechanical problems.
- Provide tire service, including installation, rotation, and balancing.
- Execute welding tasks as needed for repairs and modifications.
- Solder electrical components and assemble parts as required.
- Carry out equipment repair on various types of machinery.
- Maintain HVAC systems in vehicles to ensure optimal performance.
- Perform heavy lifting as necessary during repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in diesel engine repair is essential.
- Proficiency in automotive diagnostics is preferred.
- Experience with tire service and maintenance is a plus.
- Skills in welding, soldering, and assembly are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with equipment repair techniques is beneficial.
- Ability to handle heavy lifting tasks safely and effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
