Job Overview
We are hiring a dependable Facilities Technician to support the day‑to‑day maintenance of the Holiday Inn Express in Yankton, SD. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and keeping a building running smoothly. The number of hours will start around 30 hours a week with opportunity for up to 40 hours a week.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, minor HVAC)
- Complete work orders and preventative maintenance tasks
- Troubleshoot guest room and building issues
- Maintain tools, equipment, and building systems
- Ensure safety, cleanliness, and brand standards
- Assist with property upkeep, grounds, and common areas
- Respond to guest needs with professionalism
Qualifications
- Reliable transportation to go between both hotel sites
- General maintenance, handyman, or facilities experience
- Ability to diagnose and repair basic issues independently
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and detail‑oriented
- Able to lift, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks
- Strong communication and customer service skills
