Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Amish driver to provide reliable and courteous transportation services within our community. This role involves operating specialized vehicles with care, ensuring safe and timely travel for passengers and goods. Duties
- Safely operate Amish-specific vehicles, including horse-drawn buggies or specialized transport modes, adhering to all safety regulations and community guidelines
- Transport passengers and goods efficiently to designated locations within the community and surrounding areas
- Maintain cleanliness and proper maintenance of the vehicle or transport equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Provide friendly, respectful customer service by assisting passengers with boarding, luggage handling, and addressing any special needs
- Plan routes effectively to ensure punctuality and efficiency in daily schedules
- Keep accurate records of trips, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Organize schedules and coordinate with community members or clients to meet transportation needs promptly
Qualifications
- Valid driving license with a clean driving record; experience in commercial or bus driving preferred
- Familiarity with limousine or bus driving is advantageous; ability to operate specialized Amish transport vehicles required
- Strong organizational skills to manage schedules and route planning effectively
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and respectful demeanor
- Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations applicable to commercial driving
- Ability to handle physical tasks such as loading/unloading luggage or assisting passengers as needed
- Prior experience in hospitality or transportation services is a plus
