Overview
Looking for 2 Dallas based Class A CDL drivers. We run dedicated routes back and forth to Louisiana. MUST LIVE IN DFW AREA. Work week is SUNDAY - THURSDAY. Days off are FRIDAY / SATURDAY. Dedicated weekly runs
Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers and other commercial vehicles on over-the-road (OTR) routes, ensuring timely deliveries across multiple destinations.
- Load and unload freight using manual handling techniques, ensuring cargo is secured properly in compliance with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations.
- Navigate routes efficiently using GPS navigation systems to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption.
- Transport refrigerated goods, hazardous materials (hazmat), or dangerous goods following all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and hazardous materials regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking for mechanical issues and verifying load security.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Skills
- Proven experience operating commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers with manual transmissions and specialized equipment such as flatbeds or tankers.
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT standards, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
- Skilled in route planning using GPS navigation tools for efficient delivery execution.
- Ability to load and unload freight safely while adhering to logistics cargo handling protocols.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with delivery driving across diverse routes preferred.
- Familiarity with refrigerated trailer operations and the transportation of temperature-sensitive goods.
- Capable of manual handling tasks required for truck loading/unloading and securing freight securely for transit.
