Position Description:
Project Managers provide leadership in support of, and have ultimate responsibility for, project success for one or more small to medium-sized projects. They create the project work plan, including scope definition, staffing, construction budget analysis, client and consultant contracts, documentation of client goals and expectations, internal and consultant team management, fee proposals, additional services requests when appropriate, and they monitor project profitability. They work independently with the support of the PIC or a more senior Project Manager as required. Project Managers exhibit leadership both within OZ and outside of OZ to achieve project goals on behalf of the client, OZ, and our staff. They serve as a resource for the team and monitor project progress regularly, adjusting the plans as necessary, to ensure all project goals are met.
Education/Experience:

Bachelors of Architecture (5-year professional degree preferred),
- Master of Architecture or equivalent degree from an accredited program.
- Licensed Architect strongly preferred with twelve (12) or more years of architectural experience.
- Proficient with Revit modeling preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Project is required.
- The Project Manager has acquired the knowledge, skills and expertise of the Architect 3 position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Project Manager is responsible to all the members of the project team, and therefore may perform tasks that are traditionally the role of other team members, such as the Project Architect. However, the specific tasks of a project manager include the following:

Work closely with the PIC to document the project scope of work through signed contracts (signing of contracts is by Principals only), ensuring that the interests of the client, OZ Architecture, and our consultants are protected.

Project scope and goals are communicated to the team and progress is monitored to ensure scope is reflected in each submission.

Work closely with the PIC to negotiate fees for services and reviews invoices for work performed at appropriate stages of completion. Keep accounting appraised of future invoicing for the duration of the project. Where Additional Services are requested, the PM prepares and negotiates appropriate adjustments to the fee and project schedule and has Deltek updated accordingly.

Develop a project schedule that achieves client goals, while ensuring that both OZ and the consultants have the resources to achieve the project milestones.

Allocates hours within Deltek to provide appropriate staffing (both quantity and skill level) at each project phase, coordinating with the rest of the office to balance the needs of projects across OZ.

Analyzes the project scope, construction budget, and schedule to ensure they are achievable. Work with the client and project team where necessary to align all three.

Conduct regular team meetings (both internal and external) to communicate project status, review recent progress, and plan out the next steps. Adjust the work plan regularly to ensure the project remains on track. Also review status and financial reports within Deltek and modify schedules and plans as required. Keep the PIC informed of project status and any unresolved issues.
- The project manager must maintain effective working relationships with the client and all team members, managing expectations and communicating status. ? Ensure design complies with regulatory, code, and client requirements. Conduct or schedule internal, independent quality control reviews at appropriate design milestones (at a minimum, this should be at design development and construction documents phases).

Review construction cost estimates for accuracy and compliance with budget goals.

Support team innovation, productivity, quality, efficiency, and growth on a regular basis, so that OZ excels in the marketplace and is well-positioned for future work.

Manage team schedules and internal scheduling

Provides feedback to PIC for staff review
