Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable and self-motivated Part-Time Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance and upkeep of multiple motel and convenience store properties located in the Fairmont and Clarksburg, West Virginia area. The ideal candidate will have experience with general property maintenance, basic repairs, landscaping, basic construction and facility upkeep and be able to work independently to address maintenance issues as they arise.
Preferred Qualifications
- Technical certification or vocational training in maintenance, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or related fields preferred.
- Previous experience in property maintenance, construction, handyman services, or related trades.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
- Experience operating lawn care and landscaping equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and perform physical labor indoors and outdoors.
- Must be punctual, dependable, and professional.
- Ability to respond to urgent or emergency maintenance needs is a plus.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGeneral Maintenance & Repairs
- Perform basic repairs to motel rooms, convenience stores, and other property facilities.
- Repair doors, locks, windows, fixtures, furniture, and other building components.
- Troubleshoot and complete minor plumbing repairs, including faucets, sinks, toilets, and drains.
- Perform minor electrical repairs such as replacing switches, outlets, light fixtures, and bulbs.
- Conduct basic maintenance and assist with equipment upkeep.
- Perform painting, drywall repair, ceiling tile replacement, and minor carpentry work as needed.
Property Maintenance
- Maintain the overall appearance and condition of all properties.
- Perform mowing, weed trimming, landscaping, leaf removal, and other groundskeeping duties.
- Pressure wash sidewalks, building exteriors, parking areas, and other surfaces.
- Assist with parking lot maintenance and minor repairs.
- Complete seasonal maintenance tasks as needed.
Work Order Response
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and concerns reported by management, staff, and housekeeping.
- Prioritize and complete repairs in a timely manner.
- Communicate completed work and ongoing maintenance needs to management.
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist with room renovations, remodeling projects, and property improvement projects.
- Coordinate with outside vendors and contractors when necessary.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
Compensation
Starting at $16.00 per hour.

- Tools and equipment provided by the employee
- Overall qualifications
More experience and qualifications will result in higher pay offer.
Schedule
- Flexible hours available.
