Duties
- Greet guests warmly as they arrive, providing a friendly and professional first impression
- Manage restaurant reservations using restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Coordinate seating arrangements efficiently to optimize table turnover and guest flow
- Answer phone inquiries with clear, courteous communication and handle reservation requests or modifications
- Maintain organized waiting lists and communicate wait times accurately to guests
- Assist with guest services by answering questions about menu items or restaurant policies
- Support food service staff by ensuring tables are prepared promptly for new guests and maintaining cleanliness standards
Requirements
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in food service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Basic math skills for handling reservations, wait times, and table counts accurately
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Ability to stand, walk, and remain active for extended periods during shifts
