Warehouse Shipping Clerk
Location: Roanoke, TX
Shift: 1st Shift | 7:30am to 4:00pm Mon-Fri
Pay Rate: $18.00 - $19.00hr
Summit Staffing is hiring for a growing manufacturing company in Roanoke, TX!
We are seeking a dependable Warehouse Shipping Clerk to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. This position is responsible for shipping, receiving, inventory control, and safely operating a forklift to support production and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and verify outgoing shipments for accuracy.
- Load and unload trucks using a sit-down forklift.
- Receive incoming materials and inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies.
- Transport raw materials and finished goods throughout the facility.
- Stage materials for production and shipping.
- Generate shipping labels, bills of lading, and packing slips.
- Perform inventory transactions and cycle counts using an ERP/WMS system.
- Operate RF scanners to track inventory movement.
- Maintain an organized warehouse and shipping area.
- Complete daily forklift inspections and report any maintenance concerns.
- Follow OSHA guidelines and all company safety procedures.
- Work closely with production, warehouse, and logistics teams to meet customer delivery schedules.
Job Requirements:
- 2+ years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Previous sit-down forklift experience required.
- Reach Truck experience
- Forklift certification preferred (or ability to become certified).
- Experience with ERP or Warehouse Management Systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar is a plus).
- Ability to operate RF scanners and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.
- Reliable attendance and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Manufacturing or industrial warehouse experience.
- Experience with domestic and LTL freight shipments.
- Basic computer and data entry skills.
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
